Hi,
I'm Mike Roberts
For me this is very personal. For most of my life and career in software development, I haven't seen engineers that looked like me. I've worked at amazing companies and earned a six figure salary. And, I knew this is work that more people can do and crush it. Folks just need an opportunity to show an employer their super powers.
Through Creating Coding Careers, I'm able to provide opportunities for overlooked and undefeated people to break into tech and make the industry equitable.

Together we can
Here's How It Works
We work in under resourced communities to discover and recruit talent across the nation.
Candidates complete a three month pre-apprenticeship learning phase to prepare for our DOL Registered Apprenticeship.
Apprentices spend a year learning along side experienced software engineers working on real world projects for real clients.
Our team matches grads with companies looking for high performing early career engineers for permanent positions.
Flexible Options
Traditional coding bootcamps are expensive and require you to quit your job. Then it's up to you to find a job. With sponsored scholarships and options available for pre-apprenticeship training, students can make a meaningful investment in advancing their careers without the drawbacks of attending a typical bootcamp or college degree program.

CREATING CODING CAREERS: NEW COLLAR JOBS
During the apprenticeship phase, students are paid hourly as they complete project-based work under the tutelage of professional engineers, after which they are placed in a full-time, high growth job at a partner company. CCC’s “earn and learn” program strives to provide an affordable alternative that will uplift communities and inspire a new generation of tech professionals. The future of work is new collar jobs.
EMPLOYERS
Access a pipeline of women, Black, Latinx, and LGBTQ+ engineers. Say goodbye to your retention problems.
APPRENTICES
Gain a year of meaningful work experience and then transition directly into a permanent role writing software at a great company.

Community and Corporate Partners
By building and maintaining strong corporate and community partnerships, CCC has established a proven method of providing a pipeline of professionals ready for career placement in the tech industry.
As corporations increasingly commit to diversifying their workforce, CCC’s apprenticeship program is a mutually beneficial pursuit for companies and prospective candidates alike.
Through thoughtful support and funding opportunities from donors, foundations and community leaders, CCC continues to explore more opportunities for growth.

Diversifying the Tech Industry
Demand for skilled tech workers is high — along with the desire to create a corporate culture that supports diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and attract a more diverse pool of candidates. Our program is designed to support students while providing our corporate partners the opportunity to uphold their commitment to DEI. By addressing inequality in the sector now, we’ll make the future of the industry more inclusive and prosperous for all people — and help businesses keep their competitive edge.

Creating Careers - And Rewriting Futures
We know that for many, a traditional degree program through a four-year university isn’t always affordable or feasible, but that doesn’t lessen their drive to enter the workforce trained and ready to make a difference. Through active recruitment efforts, we will identify those passionate about advancing or redefining their career and give them the tools to rewrite their future.
